HOTEL INFORMATION

The University of Richmond has reserved a block of rooms for our visitors during Third Practice. The rooms are reserved on the following nights:

• Thursday, October 30
• Friday, October 31
• Saturday, November 1

The Hotel is the Comfort Inn Executive at 7201 West Broad Street, Richmond, VA. The Hotel's phone number is 804.672.1108. Third Practice attendees will be able to acquire a room at a reduced rate of $57 for each night. Both King and Double Queen rooms are available. All rooms are appointed with coffee maker, iron and board, and a hair dryer. Complimentary continental breakfast is served daily for hotel guests.

In order to receive this special rate, participants must call the Comfort Inn-Executive directly (804.672.1108) and identify themselves with the Third Practice Group/University of Richmond.

Reservations must be made no later than Tuesday, October 21, 2003 in order to obtain the group rate.

TRAVEL INFORMATION

Travel Notes:

• The best airport to fly into is Richmond International Airport.
• There will be no shuttle service to and from the hotel during the festival.
• Unfortunately, There are no hotels within walking distance of the campus.

Driving Directions

From Points East (Richmond International Airport, Norfolk, Williamsburg):

• Interstate 64 West to Richmond. (Do Not take 295)
• Merge onto Interstate 95 -North approx. 4 miles to Exit #79. (I-64 West to Charlottesville)
• Follow I-64 West to Take Exit 183C (Broad Street - West) (approximately 1.5 miles)
• The hotel is 2.5 blocks on the left

From Points West (Charlottesville, Roanoke):

• Follow Interstate 64 East to Exit 183 (Broad Street and Glenside Drive)
• Keep to the right and take the Glenside Drive Exit, which comes to a stop at the traffic light.
• Take a LEFT onto Glenside Drive
• Make a LEFT at the next traffic signal, onto West Broad Street (Rte 250)
• The hotel is 1.5 blocks on your left

From Points North (New York, Baltimore, Washington, DC):

• Follow Interstate I-95 South to Exit # 79 (To-64 West) Approx. 10 miles before this exit, you will see signs to I-295 to I-64 (West to Charlottesville). DO NOT take this exit!
• Follow I-64 West to Take Exit 183C (Broad Street - West) (approximately 1.5 miles)
• The hotel is 2.5 blocks on the left

From Points South (Raleigh, Atlanta, Charlotte):

• Follow Interstate I-95 North to Exit # 79 (To-64 West)
• Follow I-64 West to Take Exit 183C (Broad Street - West (approximately 1.5 miles)
• The hotel is 2.5 blocks on the left

Directions to the University of Richmond's Modlin Center for the Arts from the Comfort Inn - Executive:

• Approximate Drive Time: 15 minutes

• Take a RIGHT out of the parking lot, onto Broad Street.
• Go approx. 1.3 miles on Broad Street.
• At the 6th light (Libbie Avenue), Take at RIGHT.
• Take Libbie Avenue until it dead ends. ...1.7 miles, (Through 3 lights)
• Take a RIGHT onto Cary Street
• Just before the 1st traffic light, the road slightly "Y's"...BEAR TO THE LEFT, through the light.
• Go to the bottom of the hill .8 mile.
• Again, Just before the next traffic light, the road is going to "Y".
• BEAR TO THE RIGHT, getting onto River Road.
• Take the 2nd right off of River Road (.7 mile) to College Road (at the top of the hill)
• Take a RIGHT onto College Road.
• Go .2 mile on College Road, past the Jepson Alumni Center; take a RIGHT into the Westhampton College Gates.
• Stay straight Keller Road. In approx. 2/10 mile you will see an arch over the road. Camp Concert Hall is in the building on the left. You may use the loading dock (on the left) for a un-loading. There is additional on street parking -or- a parking lot to the right of the street for your use.

Directions to the Comfort Inn from the University of Richmond's Modlin Center for the Arts:

• Address: 7201 West Broad Street (Phone: 804-672-1108)
• Follow Keller Road to stop sign and take a LEFT onto Westhampton Way.
• Follow Westhampton Way (in a circle behind dorms) to stop sign.
• Take a RIGHT to the Westhampton Gates.
• Take a RIGHT through the gates, onto College Road.
• Go .9 miles onto College road. At the Main University gates (.9 mile), Bear to the LEFT onto Boatwright Drive.
• Follow Boatwright .3 mile until it dead ends at Three Chopt Road. (Please Note: Boatwright and College Roads are VERY narrow and curvy: Proceed with extreme caution!!!)
• Take a LEFT onto three Chopt.
• Go .8 mile on Three Chopt to your second traffic light. Take a RIGHT onto Horesepen Road.
• Go 1.6 miles, to your 5th traffic light. (*Note: Horesepen turns into Glenside Drive at the 2nd light. You will cross over I-64 after the fourth light).
• At the fifth light, take a LEFT onto Broad Street.
• The hotel is 2.5 blocks on the left.
